Carlos Quevedo is a Venezuelan graphic artist currently based in Colombia. He is a graduate with degrees in Graphic Design and Publicity. Starting out, Carlos began to ply his trade working for several advertising agencies for approximately three years before deciding upon the move to freelance artist. For the last four years, he has continued to hone his skills using digital media. Through a complex design process he marries photographic material, painting and 3D elements, to create illustrations from a unique perspective, where ethereal environments and surreal characters come to life, bringing with them a pictorial glimpse into a symbolic world, filled with the spiritual, the mystical and the magical.
"The multiple and ecumenical spirituality that emerges from the works of Carlos Quevedo reflects a message of universality that transcends the many symbols scattered throughout his creations, and bears witness to the Venezuelan artist researches. Today, living in Colombia, he has relied on his own experience of religion and his studies in graphic design to offer his audience an aesthetic presentation of his personal questions and pathways".
